Overview

The Corduroy Enduro is held every September in the Haliburton Highlands area of Ontario. The beautiful rugged terrain is an enduro rider’s dream and one of reasons the Corduroy was considered a “Hard Enduro” before the term was even coined. This year’s Corduroy course will have it all: Extreme sections, river crossings, MX tests, Enduro Cross tests, and an ISDE style bike impound so riders can’t work on their bikes between Day 1 and Day 2. The Corduroy has a reputation for being hard on bikes and riders, but record numbers of riders come out every year to prove they can keep it all together and stay on schedule for two gruelling days to earn themselves one of the coveted Corduroy finisher medals.
The 69th running of the Corduroy Enduro in 2023 saw a record 650 entries from across Canada and the USA brave the tough course. GasGas factory rider Tyler Medaglia from Nova Scotia was more than equal to the challenge winning the Corduroy and adding the Canadian National Enduro Championship title to his National MX Championships.
In conjunction with the enduro, there are non-competitive trail rides on Saturday and Sunday and a Dual Sport/Adventure Sport ride on Sunday which stops at some of the Cord’s infamous spectator points such as the Burnt River crossing or the Green’s Mountain Extreme test. The Corduroy weekend also includes a Vintage Bike Enduro and a Vintage Bike display on Friday which reminds us of the storied 70 year history of the Corduroy Enduro. With an eye to the future the Corduroy held the first E-Bike and E-Mtn Bike Enduro last two years with great success and it will again take place on the Friday of this year’s Corduroy. Continuing with the future theme, the Corduroy added a closed course Youth Enduro in 2023 to help train the under 16 riders who can’t ride the Corduroy Enduro yet to be the champions of the future. New for the 70 th running of the Corduroy this year is a category for Adventure Sport bikes to compete in the Friday Enduro.
The Market Place, at the Corduroy start/finish area located at the Gooderham Community Center is brimming with parts, accessories, and riding gear. Several motorcycle manufacturers will also be on hand offering test rides on the latest 2025 models. The Demo Ride Program gets bigger and better every year at the Corduroy. In 2023, 350 riders took over 1350 test rides during the three demo days. This year test rides will be taking place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and the test ride course will be longer and have more varied terrain. There will also be a separate test course for the E-Mtn Bikes and Ebikes. The young kids will enjoy the expanded Stacyc strider test course. There are also loops for riders to test out the lasts Adventure Sport and Dual Sport bikes.
After the riding is done each day there will be rider interviews, videos, award presentations, prize draws and the Tire Change Contest on Saturday night. There will also be video of past Corduroy Enduros playing all weekend. This can all be while enjoying a 70th anniversary Corduroy Beer and a piece of wood fired oven pizza in the Beer Garden.
The weekend wraps up with the Final MX Test on Sunday afternoon at the start/finish area in Gooderham. The top men and women battle it out for one last time in front of the crowds to finalize their positions before the race comes to a close.
